How to Fakie Front Side Full Cab Flip

Quick steps: How to Front side caballerial flip

  1. Roll fakie at a comfortable speed.
  2. Use the same foot placement as a fakie FS flip.
  3. While you bend down for the pop turn your shoulders behind you in the backside direction.
  4. Start to unwind your shoulders quickly in the front side direction and pop.
  5. Flick your front foot just like a fakie fs flip but lean into the nose (as if you were trying to fakie fs flip to nose manual)
  6. Once you land on nose wheels only you will have the rotational momentum to whip your tail around and complete the trick.
  7. Roll away and smile.

What is a Fakie Front-side Full Cab Flip?

Front-side Caballerial Flip

A Front-side Caballerial flip is a skateboarding flip trick that involves a 360 degree rotation of the body and the skateboard, while simultaneously preforming a kick flip. This trick in not for new skateboarders. If you want to build up to learning this amazing technical flip trick. Start by learning fakie frontside flips.

The term Fakie prior to 'CAB', or 'CABALLERIAL' in the name of any trick is redundant.

A Cab is a 180° fakie aerial rotation.

A Caballerial is a 360° fakie aerial rotaion.

For the rest of this article we will call this trick by its easier, and shorter name....Front-side Caballerial Flip.


Foot placement for a FS Caballerial Flip

Place your POP foot on the tail slightly on the outside, like you would for a kickflip or front-side flip.

Front foot is just under the front bolts and slanted at about 45°, with your toes pointed towards the nose.

While bending down you should also be winding your shoulders in the back-side direction. This was you will have your upper body ready to assist with achieving the full rotation.

It's crucial (AT THIS POINT) that you dont lean off of your center. If you lean out even a little bit then you are just throwing the trick.

Commit to being directly above your your board as you start to leave earths surface.

Step 2

Once you pop and start your rotation, you will flick your front foot like a fakie front-side flip (FS Half Cab Flip).

This is the moment that you will be adjusting your upper bodies leaning direciton.

You need to lean slightly forward (the direction your traveling) to anticipate landing nose wheels only.

The Whip around, or the Pivot.

Landing the board on the nose for a pivot will be your main struggle.

Keep trying until you can dial in that balance between your front foot and back foot. But it's less than you think.

Be patient, keep trying until you figure out the timing for the flick and rotation, most importantly have fun skateboarding.
